How we track betting records

When does a pick count?

A pick must have a source URL and a recorded capture timestamp before the event starts. The Betting 50 records the selection, market, offered odds and stated stake. Picks without a verifiable pre-event capture are excluded.

Settlement

Outcomes are entered after the event and require a settlement source and note. Wins, losses, pushes and voids are shown separately. Pushes and voids return the stake and add zero profit. Open picks remain visible but are excluded from settled performance totals.

Net units and return on stake

For a win, profit is calculated from the captured odds and stake. Decimal odds use stake × (odds − 1). American odds use stake × odds / 100 for positive odds and stake × 100 / absolute odds for negative odds. Losses subtract the stake; pushes and voids add zero. Return on stake (ROI) is net profit divided by total settled stake.

These measures exclude taxes, fees, limits, bet availability and account-specific prices. They are not an estimate of what every reader could have achieved.

Limitations

The tracked record depends on public source availability and the selections The Betting 50 captured. It may not represent every pick or every recommendation from a tipster. Different sportsbooks, prices and timing can produce different outcomes. Sample sizes vary, and historical performance does not predict future results.

The Betting 50 does not endorse wagering or guarantee outcomes. See disclosures for commercial relationships.
